Christina I. Thompson
Education: BA, Central College, History and Theatre, Magna cum laude. JD, Drake University, Highest Honors; certificate in Litigation and Dispute Resolution. While at Drake, Christina competed for the AAJ Mock Trial team and participated in appellate and general practice clinics, and was a junior member of the Law Review. Christina is also certified as a mediator by the International Academy for Dispute Resolution.
Areas of Practice: General practice including but not limited to appellate practice, business and contract law, estates and probate, family law, and civil litigation. Christina is also a mediator for variety of non-family law issues.
Organizations: Iowa State Bar Association (Appellate Practice Committee; Legal Forms Committee; YLD Mock Trial Committee Co-Chair); Starting in June of 2016, Christina will be serving as the President of Iowa Organization of Women Attorneys; Polk County Bar Association; Polk County Women Attorneys.

About Christina: While at Central College, Christina studied abroad in London, England and was a member of the Central College Mock Trial Team. Christina now enjoys coaching a middle school mock trial team composed of students from Merrill and Cowles middle schools in Des Moines. Christina's "minions" took the 12th place trophy during the 2013 Middle School State Tournament and the 9th place trophy in 2014. Christina is also active in music ministry and youth ministry at her church, and enjoys volunteering as a leader for a local Girl Scout troop.
